Is Siri sick? When asked to set the alarm Apple’s digital assistant has emotional meltdown

I’m worried about Siri. She doesn’t seem to be her usual semi-helpful self. I asked her to set an alarm and she went crazy and repeated herself SIX TIMES. I first noticed this on my iPhone running iOS 9 maybe a month back. I asked Siri to set the alarm and ‘she’ responded to confirm and then responded again and again a total of six times. I attributed it to a temporary problem with the Siri server software at Apple. But low and behold about an hour ago whilst using an old iPad running iOS 8 the same thing happened again!

I asked Siri, ‘Set the alarm for 9:16am.’
She replied ‘Ok, I’ve set an alarm for 9:16am.’ Job done? No! She had more to say…
‘Ok, I’ve turned it on.’
‘Ok, it’s on.’
‘Ok, your 9:16 alarm is on.’
‘Ok, your 9:16 alarm is on.’
‘Ok, I’ve turned it on.’

How many times does Siri need to confirm and reconfirm the alarm has been set? My tests have extended as far as two iOS devices in the UK so i’m wondering if this is happening to anybody else in the country or abroad?

Poor Siri, i’m wondering if the stress of hearing complaints about the new gimped MacBook Pros is making her sick.
